About us

Our focus is tracing our Genealogical, Geographical and Genetic ancestors path from R1b Sub-Clade BY251 to the Northern Germanic Tribes to the Corded Ware Culture to the Yamnaya Culture.

Goals:

1) To identify and test men who are likely members of BY251 in order to provide a large BY251 database.

2) Use this BY251 history to estimate the Y-DNA characteristics of the TMRCA of each of our surnames.

3) Use all of this information to predict how the Y-DNA changed within each surname from the TMRCA founder down to the current members.

Questions we need to answer.

1) What are the connections to and between the various Cultures, Northern Germanic areas and Northern Germanic Tribes?

2) How do we extend a persons Genealogical Tree past their EKA or past a point in history that has no records?

3) There are two possible known migration paths the people of the Yamnaya Culture took to Western Europe. 1) North around the Carpathian Mountains to Northern Poland and Germany. 2) South through the Danube River basin to Hungary then to Germany. Which path did the people of Sub-Clade R1b-BY251 and close sub-clades take? Both? or just one?

4) What was the birth location of BY251? Right now we can only speculate that it is somewhere in Eastern Europe Steppe, a vast area.
