Purpose: The Plotkin DNA Project is open to all who wish to determine whether they are related to one another. Many persons with the surname PLOTKIN living throughout the U.S. and elsewhere can trace their ancestors to an area of Russia - now Belarus- near the city of Minsk. There,the trail grows cold. DNA testing provides a method of determining whether in fact descendants of Plotkins from this region or other parts of Europe are,in fact,related.
