About us
Pack Family Y-DNA Project,
There appear to be four at least four distinct Pack families who have contributed YDNA to this project thus far - Thank You! In order to help this project progress, we have determined a need for three things. First, if you know you are not a descendant of the John Pack, born 1809 in Canada, please consider expanding the number of DNA markers you have had tested (the Big Y 700 if possible). It would be great if you could pay for your own additional testing, but if you cannot, please contact us. Second, it has become necessary to learn more about the genealogies of those for whom we have Y-DNA. We are asking everyone who matches one of the four main groups (A, B, C, or D) in the project Y DNA at 25 markers or more to email us back with as much information as you know about your Paternal Family ancestral line. Third, as a minimum, please fill in the name of the oldest known Pack in your paternal line in your kit information.
For those not descended from John Pack, would you be interested in receiving some help tracing your family history? If so, contact us and we will find a way to help you with your family research.
We are trying to build the most complete Pack family tree possible, and we all would like to know how we fit together. The DNA is only one piece of this puzzle.
We look forward to hearing from you and cannot wait for this project to move forward.
Thank you,
