I posted this on the FB group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/McGinleyDNA/) It is the grave of James Maginley in Lower Marsh Creek Church Cemetery in Fairfield, PA. He was one of the earliest McGinleys I've found so far, but not a direct ancestor of mine. I couldn't trace him back to Ireland. The church is a Presbyterian Church and still exists. Sadly, during the Civil War and the fighting in nearby Gettysburg, the church decided to send their records to Chambersburg, PA for safe keeping. Chambersburg was burnt down and the records from the early days of the church were destroyed. The church in Fairfield was unharmed.
