About us
The Hull DNA Project was founded in 2002 by James Reynolds Hull to assist Hull family historians and researchers in the use of a new scientific technology for genealogical research.
Phonetic spelling changes and migrations over the generations have left many Hull/Holl/Hohl families with no clear way to determine if they share a common ancestry. DNA sorts people into genetically related groups of ethnic and geographic origin but won’t necessarily show relationships in terms of names, dates, or places.
