<...see links for definitions...>  This project has been expanded in recent months to include haplogroup E-CTS3346 and its subclades.  It was originally organized in an effort to determine the origin of dissimilar surnames such as Prater, Fowler, Williston, Burton, with them having such close YDNA matching through STR and Big Y (SNP) analyses.  Since that start, a need was expressed to broaden the scope to include ALL surnames in these subclades.
