Bonkowski, Bonkosky, Bonkoski, Bakowski. This project is intended to assist participants having these surnames in discovering genetic linkages, identifying most recent common ancestors, exploring geographic migration, and serving as a forum for discussion of such topics and related material. It is the intent of this project to protect participants’ identities and to share results. To support identification of linkages, participant identities will be exchanged within the project only with the prior approval of the participants involved in the specific topic. For example, if testing reveals a match and one of the matched persons requests direct contact with the matching person, the administrator will seek permission of the matching person to release contact information.
