About us

Welcome to the Auberzinski/Auberzinsky Family DNA website.

The Auberzinski Family has a very interesting history to it.

Julius Abresenski (from German writing i or a y was written as a j) was born on October 16, 1866 in Gersman (?) Germany. He arrived in the United States in 1892 via the ship Hance (Hamce) according to his naturalization paperwork. He was married to Mary and had 8 children. John born 1888, Frank born 1893, Joseph born 1896, Anges born 1899, Thomas born 1901, Julius born 1904, Geo (George) born 1905, and Martin born 1908.

The family name on the naturalization paperwork was spelled and signed several different ways, including.....Abriseniski,  the last letter looks like a j, or a y with a accent slash over it, or an i. It is a matter of how you look at it. The family lived in Gallitzin, Amsbry, and Carrolltown Pennsylvania. As the years have past many family members have tried learning the history of the Family. What is known today is the family was Polish on Julius side and Dutch on Mary's side, according to census reports stating their origins and race. Both are stated as speaking German and being born in Germany.

Due to wars over the years, many churches and records were destroyed. With family research our family is able to make small links here and there. Continuing to move forward to learn more about where the Auberzinski family members originated from. With technology today, we as family members will soon be able to find our overseas relatives.
