Welcome to mtDNA and Y-DNA tests for The Andes area. This includes Modern Columbia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Chile. I am looking for information of migration of Ancient to Modern Andean Cultures. Some are Moche, Huari, Inka, Nasca, Chimu, Tiwanaku Chavín, Paracas, Mochica, Nazca, Tiahuanaco, Wari and the regional states of Chimú, Chincha and Chanka. This is the beginning description, but more will be add with time. Family names included in this project can be any as the area is the main interest. My Ancestors came to San Francisco from Spain, England and Chile in the 1800's, before California was a state. My husband's family is originally from Peru. Some of his family went to Mexico later. So this site is for anyone who wonders if their ancestors are from the Andes Area.
