Description
The project will attempt to build DNA support for genealogies that have solid research back to the immigrants in America - and to assist others in their research both in America and Europe. We have listed all known derivatives of the name Sollenberger and hope to determine which lines/variants share common ancestors. If your surname variant is not listed, please contact the administrator.
As of April 2021, we have one Sollenberger Big Y test, plus two additional Y-67 tests. All three known tested men match, confirming that they sharlearn e a common Sollenberger ancestor (or spelling variant). We need additional Y-DNA tests, especially Big Y tests, to learn more about the line.
Please consider donating $10, $25, $50 or more to the project. You can specify that your donation should be applied to a test of:
1) a specific individual (such as your father, sibling, or cousin)
2) a descendant of a specific ancestor (such as your second-great-grandfather)
3) any male Sollenberger, etc.
The project administrator(s) will do our best to fulfill your request. If we cannot do so within a six month period, we may use your donation to test someone we believe to be related to you. If no such tester can be found, the donation will be applied to a test of another Sollenberger.

Requirements
A Surname Project traces members of a family that share a common surname. They are of the most interest in cultures where surnames are passed on from father to son like the Y-Chromosome. This project is for males taking a Y-Chromosome DNA (Y-DNA) test. Thus, the individual who tests must be a male who wants to check his direct paternal line (father's father's father's...) with a Y-DNA12, Y-DNA37, Y-DNA67, or Y-DNA111 test and who has one of the surnames listed for the project. Females do not carry their father's Y-DNA. Females who would like to check their father's direct paternal line can have a male relative with his surname order a Y-DNA test. Females can also order an mtDNA test for themselves such as the mtDNAPlus test or the mtFullSequence test and participate in an mtDNA project. Both men and women may take our autosomal Family Finder test to discover recent relationships across all family lines.
