In June 2006 I watched a television program that tried to uncover the fate of the lost colonists of Roanoke. They used DNA in an attempt to prove that one of the 1587 lost colonists may have survived. It was at that moment I realized that if one of the world’s greatest mysteries could possibly be solved with DNA, then maybe I could find a few “lost” Wooten cousins and help other Wootens reconnect to their lost family as well.
