Background

William Grimshaw, b. ca. 1765, immigrated to the US from either Canada or England. He joined Hazen's Regiment in the American Revolution and then settled in New Hampshire. He is thought to have had at least three children, Elizabeth, Zephaniah, and George, whose descendants have scattered across Canada and the US. Many of us present-day Grimshaw cousins are trying to firmly establish our link to William, and to his ancestry in England, if possible.
