Project Background:
The Whalen, Whelan, Phelan Surname Project is open worldwide to all who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of family history information and Y-DNA testing. All variant spellings are welcome. If your Surname is missing and should be included, we'll be glad to add it.

As of 26 September 2008 we have a total of 41 members in our project, with results for 34 tested at FTDNA and 3 tested at Ancestry.com.
We have 2 kits at the lab, results expected in October/November, and have 2 kits to be returned to FTDNA.
One kit is awaiting a Deep SNP test.
