Background

This study was initiated to see if we could use Y-DNA tests to find descendants of other branches of the family of Charles L. Watson. He was born in Georgia in 1838, lived and had children and probably died in Alabama in 1889. His children and their descendants are reasonably well-known to the present day, but we only recently discovered the first bit of documentary evidence in Alabama in the Federal Census of 1870 and 1880.

However, the study is open to any Watson, from any location. We'll sort them out when we get the test results!
