This DNA project is open to any male having the surname Warmath, Warmouth, Warmoth, Wormath, Wormouth. Wormuth, Warmuth, Womoth, or any other variant thereof.
The Warmath DNA Project was initially begun by TN Warmaths, hoping to validate the information which had been established by paper-trail research. During our Warmath research, we found more than a half dozen different variant spellings of the Warmath surname.
For some time, there has been speculation within the genealogical community regarding possible common origins of some of these surname variants, with the feeling that some of these may be connected.

Dutch and German origins have been suggested for some of these surname variants.
As one researcher has continued to delve further into WARMOUTH history, her findings strongly suggest an English origin.
