Janet and I had thought for years that we were at some point related and saw ourselves as cousins. We had developed that bond between us. Using this project we now know that our lines are not related. We can continue researching with this knowledge for cousins that do DNA match us.
We have been able to connect one man to his rightful family line and verified some other line connections; most recently we have dispelled one belief in the connection of the David Tedford line of Hardeman Co. TN. to that of Capt. John’s line out of Blount Co. TN.
We've also proved through DNA testing the Joseph Telford family of Chester Co, SC is not related to the Rockbridge Co, VA Tedford family. Thanks to DNA testing we now know the answers to these
questions.
