Project Goals
Our goal is simple: We want to prove once and for all, to those who wish to know their ancestry, just how do we all connect? Y-DNA testing can give us those answers.
Many or most of us have traced our families back using the public records; i.e. Birth records, family Bibles, Census records both federal and local, as well as letters from the attic cedar chest an all other such means.
But, many of us find ourselves contending with a collection of what someone back the 1920s has for what ever reason thrown together information confusing the whole documented world. Including the two published books a Tedford family by Detty and Tilford family by Mize in the 1950's.
Now, with this simple DNA test we can sort out all of the confusion as to what lines connect and hopefully when and where they split apart. No blood is required to be drawn, just three simple swabs samples from inside the mouth. These samples are kept in strict confidentiality and mailed direct by you to FamilyTree DNA headquaraters in Houston, Texas.
The more DNA participates to test the more exact our information will be.
