The Speed Surname Y-DNA Project began in April 2005 to investigate a common ancestral origin for Speed branches that settled in different regions of the United States and Europe.

Note: Family Tree DNA gives a range of 4-6 weeks for the identification and notification of test results, depending on the test chosen (the more markers, the more time needed).
