About us
The Rooker DNA Project was launched on December 18, 2012 having two matching samples with Dawn Roe as the projects founding administrator.
This group is open to any male having the surname Rooker or males of any surname that has a confirmed genetic match to members of our group.
Note: If you are of Rooker lineage, but are female or of another surname due to marriages from descending generations, you may sponsor your Rooker relative to represent your branch. He must be a man who descends from the all male Rooker line, meaning his father and his fathers before him going all the way back, all had the surname Rooker. Sponsors should create the account in the name of the male Rooker testee and mail the kit to the desired address where the testee can complete the test on your behalf. If you still have questions, feel free to contact the Group Administrator listed above.
To join the Rooker DNA Project, please select the "Join Request" from the menu bar and follow the instructions. Please order the 37 Y marker test or higher.
Participants are encouraged to provide their lineages as shown in the "Results" section, which can be found under the "About This Group" tab on the menu bar. Please also include the line leader contact email so that anyone interested in your line can contact you. Please start with your oldest known ancestor to the ancestor born before 1910. We do not display the most recent generations for privacy purposes.
