The purpose of this project is to aid genealogists researching the surname RASEY and its many variants through the use of Y-chromosome DNA testing. All RASEY/etc. males are welcome to join the project, but as only males have Y-chromosomes, only male RASEYs can be tested. If you are female, you can have a male RASEY relative submit a sample for your line. For further information, please see the project web page at my genealogy web site: RASEY Y-chromosome DNA Surname Project: Home Page To participate meaningfully, testees will need to share their direct male line ancestry back to the earliest known RASEY, either in the form of a pedigree chart or, preferable, family group sheets (excluding living persons). This is a requirement, not an option, for participation in the project. DNA test results, without an accompanying pedigree, are useless.
