Even at this early stage of the project, four tentative results can be presented:
1) Descendants of the PA and the Markham, Ontario lines of descent from the man referred to as Phillip the Immigrant of 1727 are confirmed as having strong common ancestry.
2) That line is shown to have a common ancestor with a descendant of Abraham RAYMER of KY. Efforts using traditional research over the last thirty years have been unable to prove that connection.
3) Both of these lines have been shown to share a common ancestor with RÖMERs (now using RAMER in the US) that were located in Ober-Hesse in the 1750s (shortly after Phillip's departure).
4) It is highly unlikely that either of the two descendants of the NC line (which several researchers have claimed descend from Phillip the Immigrant of 1727) shares any common ancestor with the descendents of Phillip RÖMER,the Immigrant of 1727, the descendents of Abraham RAMER of KY or the RÖMERs of Ettingshausen.
5) However, both participants who are descendents of the NC line of RAMERs show a strong liklihood of having a having a shared ancestor with both descendants of Henry RAMER, b. 1750, PA who died 1 Dec 1835, in Decatur Co., IN.
