Prillamans in America descend from a common ancestor known today as Jacob Prillaman Sr. (1721-1796) who immigrated in 1747 from Switzerland. Three documents survive where he signed his name as Jacob Brüllmann.  By testing the YDNA of males with a Prillaman or Brüllmann surname or a derivation of either name we plan to determine the relationship to this common ancestor and our European cousins.
