Results
Project results will depend upon your willingness to participate. We seek at least one participant from each major branch of the Oglethorpe family, to help those with unknown lines establish their connection to a particular branch. The 37 Marker test would be the most helpful in this regard, since in most cases we are looking for only slight variations between different branches of the family. But those on a limited budget can join the project with the 12 Marker Test, and then if that proves useful, they can upgrade to the 37 Marker Test as needed. Oglethorpe is a surname derived from one or more places, and so there may be several distinct branches of the family, from different places of the same name.
