Started in 2005, the goal is to find common ancestors among variations of surname spellings including Neyer, Noyer, Neier, Nier, and Nyer. These families can be found in Germany, Austria, France, and throughout the US. So far, ancestral villages have been found in Western Austria, and Ibbenburen Germany.
