Background

The NETHERWOOD Surname DNA Project is conducted in conjunction with the NETHERWOOD/NEATHERWOOD One-Name Study registered with the Guild of One-Name Studies (No. 4034). The Study was begun in 2003 with the aim of providing raw data and a means of collaboration to NETHERWOOD researchers. Since that time a substantial body of worldwide data has been collected from which several tentative lines of descent and many partial pedigrees have been worked out, often in spite of a scanty paper trail.
