The Haplogroup H&HV mtGenome Project: H10- Background

Background

This is the H10 mtDNA Full Genomic Sequence Project. To Join you must:

• Have Results from the mtDNA Full Mitochondria Sequence, FMS, test at Family Tree DNA.
• Share your HVR1, HVR2, and Coding Region results with the project administrator.

Account Settings

1. Please keep your mtDNA results turned on. We cannot help you understand them if we cannot see them.

2. If you have a full sequence and you are participating in any of the projects, could you please check your account to make sure the admins can view your Coding Region data. Nearly all sub branches/clades branch defining motifs are situated in the Coding Region. To make sure your Coding Region is visible for the Project administrators- just follow the instructions below:

   -Log into your ‘Family Tree DNA’ account.

   -Go to the tab ‘My Account’

   -Scroll down to ‘Project Administrator Settings’  . The following tabs(below) will come up. Change both 'Results Display Settings' and the 'Project Administrator Settings'

   -You will see all the projects you are in, if it is ‘Read Only’ (example below) we can only see the HVR1&2 ,however the coding region is the more important one for assigning your subgroup/clade. So please, select the Limited box.  Example below.

       o    Limited   -this is the ideal setting for all your participating projects you are in.
