Project Background:
Between 1730 and 1749 Seven (7) Kilian men immagrated to Pennsylvania and took an Oath of Allegiance to the Province and State.
The Killian DNA Project is open to Male Killian who are interested in working together to find their common heritage through sharing of information and dna testing.
The KILLIAN DNA Project was started in 2002 to prove descendancy from Andreas Killian b: 1702 Germany d: 1788 NC. Open to anyone looking for proof of descendancy from Andreas but have no documented proof are welcome to the project. |
Project Goals:
The primary goal of the Killian DNA project is to provide a connection of Andreas Killian to the family tree.
A secondary goal of the project is to connect Andreas Killian to his siblings and parents in America/Europe/Germany
A third goal has been establish a relationship of various Killi*n lines of 18th century America and back to the Kilians' native homeland. |
Project News:
Eleven project members have taken the Y-DNA37 test establishing
a base line of Killians of 18th century North Carolina |
Project Results:
1) A baseline of markers has been established for descendants of Andreas Killian.
2) A relationship between the Orange County NC Killians and the descendants of Andreas Killian has been established
3) Two adopted Killian lines have been established. Killians by heritage if not by blood. |

been predicted by Family Tree DNA based on unambiguous results in the
individual's personal page. This has been placed on this GAP page for your ease
and convenience. Please note that for any predicted results we see no reason for
ordering a SNP test to confirm the Haplogroup. if a – is in the HAPLO field then
we feel that the comparative results are not clear and unambiguous and if the
kit holder wants to know their SNP with 100% confidence they may consider
ordering a SNP confirmation test.
