The Hayner/Haner/Hoener** DNA Project is for all who wish to work together to find their common heritage through DNA testing and sharing of information. This project welcomes all of the following surnames as well as other variations of these surnames, who need a project home: **HAHNER, HAINER, HAINOR, HANER, HANOR, HAYNER, HAYNOR, HEANER, HEINER, HINER, HOEHNER, HOENER. Because of many ways names are changed in spelling over hundreds of years, until you are DNA tested you will not know if you may or may not be genetically tied to other surnames. Finding that tie will open up a whole new world of research for the genealogist. Regardless of your particular spelling, you will get information on how your spelling links to people with your spelling and with other spellings listed here. Once we establish genetic families, we will split off those who wish to have a separate project. All spellings are welcome. If your Surname spelling is missing, we will be glad to add it so that your results can be compared to the other spellings here. Please e-mail the Group Administrator with your spelling to have it added. In order to get the best information, we need many people from all these different spellings to test!
