Project Goals
Project background: Having heard of mtDNA testing and after a few years Genealogy research I decided the mtDNA test would further my research. Through the Canadian census that begins in 1850 I found my maternal ancestral line attending the native school at Alnwick Reserve. My maternal relatives have long since been gone and there is no one to ask questions of. Before they were at Alnwick I am unsure where they were. I want to gain more information, any information, and as much information as possible. Hoping to find living relatives with common ancestral lineage, desiring to learn of their travels. I hope with more members we may be able to share geographic information that wouldn't be found elsewhere. There are more than 100 signatures found in Haplogroup A. Nearly all are Native American.
