"PROGETTO RICERCA GENETICA GENTIS GRIMALDORUM (GRIMALDI)"

Questo progetto si propone lo studio del DNA del comosoma Y (quello che si tramanda da padre a figlio maschio) della famiglia Grimaldi, discesa dall'antico casato genovese e delle altre e varie famiglie che abbiano il cognome GRIMALDI (e sue varianti).

Tale studio storico e genealogico della famiglia Grimaldi e casate isonimiche è l'oggetto della ricerca dell'Associazione famiglia Grimaldi

Il fine ultimo dello studio del DNA - Y familiare è:

I) rintracciare la nostra più remota origine genetica;

II) rintracciare ed appurare parentele con i diversi rami del casato, sia attraverso la ricerca ed il rintracciamento del "Più Recente Avo Comune" (in inglese MRCA) di ogni singolo ramo;

II) rintracciare le origini genetiche dei vari soggetti che abbiano come cognome "Grimaldi" o sue varianti;
