Background
Our basic group of three Ernst cousins are all descendants of August Ferdinand Ernst, who was born on 22 August 1805 in Blumenthal, near Landsberg, Prussia. He immigrated arriving on 10 November 1851, on the ship, Oder, to NYC from Hamburg, Germany, with his wife and two children. They settled near Cedarburg, Wisconsin.
