The Diurach Project is primarily for men who have paternal ancestry from the Isle of Jura, Scotland. Women who have maternal ancestry from the Island may also join the project.

The aims of the project are:

- to help individuals connect with their genetic cousins
- identify shared kinship between surnames on the Island
- explore the deeper origins of each surname represented on the island
- share genealogical and historical information

'Diurach' is the Gaelic for an individual from the Isle of Jura.
