Project Background
The purpose of this project is to aid genealogists researching the surname CARRICO and similar surnames and their variants through the use of Y-chromosome DNA testing. All CARRICO/etc. males are welcome to join the project, but as only males have a Y-chromosome, only males can be tested. If you are female, you can have a male CARRICO/etc. relative submit a sample for your line. For further information, please see the project web page at my genealogy web site:

To participate meaningfully, members will need to share their direct male line ancestry back to the earliest known patrilineal ancestor. Submission of a lineage is a requirement, not an option, for participation in the project. Without an accompanying pedigree, DNA test results are useless.
