This Wingfield Y-DNA Project was started for those men whose surname is Wingfield or similar that would like to see and investigate the "scientific evidence" of their direct paternal Wingfield ancestry. Only men with the surname Wingfield or similar spelling can join the Wingfield Y-DNA Project.  Only males inherit a Y-DNA from their father, not daughters.
