This project is for the purpose of exploring the ancestry of the various family lines, regardless of the spelling. Y-chromosome DNA analysis is for determining the ancestry of males of this family. The DNA tests are performed by Family Tree DNA, and they are discussed on the home page of Family Tree DNA.
You may order the kit from Family Tree DNA and pay by credit card. You may order a kit for some other family member who does not want to be identified. The data is kept by kit # only.
For the sake of typing, all the various spellings will be consolidated as Washburn - with no preference implied as to which spelling is more important or correct.
I, Kelly Parks took over as Project Admin in summer of 2019. I knew the previous admin, and urged her husband to these for the Henry Washburn family so it could be compared to Eli Washburn's family>
Looking for a few good co-admin to help me. I don't have a direct line to Washburn family, its just a allied branch.
