Background
Van Tuyl [Tyle, Tile, Tuijl, Tuyle etc.] This project has generated a Y-STR and and Y-SNP haplotype for the most recent common ancestor of three project members descended from the Van Tuyl family of the Bommelerward region in the Netherlands. These descendants reside in The Netherlands and North America. Anyone with a suspected male-line association with the Van Tuyl family is welcome to join the project. A 37-locus Y-STR measurement is sufficient. Use a 67-locus kit for improved accuracy.
