Having information only on my father, I've been trying to trace the lineage and ethnicity of the Troxell family. A major hurdle is that I do not have a definitive first name for my paternal grandfather. So far, six different variants have been found. These include: Shaird, Sherd, Sherrid, Sherrod, Showad and Sherwood. Some have even confused him with my father, Sherman.
