Results
So far, we have tested several members who believe themselves to be descendants of Matthias St. John but only one member who believes himself to be a descendant of the English St. Johns of Keysoe. Most of the descendants of Matthias in the project proved to be matches for one another, but there has been no match yet between the Matthias descendants and the sole English St. John tested, though we have tested other American St. Johns who do match the one English St. John so far tested. We have also tested an Irish St. John, who does not match either group, but no French St. Johns. Without further testing and research, it is still impossible to prove exactly where the immigrant Matthias St. John fits into the St. John family tree or exactly where he came from.
