SPARROW DNA SURNAME PROJECT- Background

In February of 2005 the Sparrow DNA Project was officialy begun, and since that time seven members have joined. For those who have had difficulty connecting their Sparrow family to others, then perhaps this project will provide the help that is needed. Because the Y chromosome provides a direct link from father to son for generation after generation, DNA testing has the potential to identify different Sparrow families who are related. In the months and years ahead as others join the group, it may be possible to get past the stumbling blocks and brick walls in the search for our ancestors.
