HABAN HUTTERITES

A study conducted on the Haban population of Slovakia has tested a minimal set of STRs. Although they did not test the locations we would have hoped for over 40% of the Haban are V13 and are a 12/12 marker match with most of our project. We hope to find members of the Haban community to join us so we can test them for at least 37 markers... it may be that a majority of the Haban are Z16988.

you can view the study here Drawing the history of the Hutterite population on a genetic landscape: inference from Y-chromosome and mtDNA genotypes - PMC (nih.gov)
