I could find no record of Jeremias and Bela Rosenzweig prior to 1820, near Hannover. They could have changed their family name, or, more likely, moved from another place. If you have any ancestors from that era, from another part of the world, please let me know.
Jeremias Rosenzwieg died near Hannover, Germany in 1845. His wife, Bela Catharin b 1780 and he had three children, Juda, Levy and Frederich. Wilhelm Julius, b 11 Mar 1820, in Echte, Germany
Juda had a daughter, Fanny.
Levy had two children –Ida b 1840, d 1846 and Julius b 1846, d 1868
Frederich married Helene Dorothy Jeanette Wolf, 19 Aug 1843 in Burgdorf.d 22 Feb 1870 in Philadelphia PA Jeanette, b 11 Apr 1822 in Goslar. Her parents were Joel Wolf and Henriette Engle. Frederich and Jeanette converted to the Lutheran Church in 1844. They came to the states in 1853.
Two children born in Germany, Albert Harry b 1846 and Bertha b 1852. One child born in Baltimore, Charles W b 1858.
Name became Rossewig and Rosewig in the states. Julius became Frederick W Rosewig. Moved to Philadelphia. Janet died 1870. He married Harriet Prell b 1844. She had two children from her previous marriage, Isiah b 1867 and Isaac b 1869.
Charles W.married Sadie Carson b 1858 and had Clarence in 1885. Charles aka Mack moved to the Jersey City, Newark area and married Anna Caroline Witzmann. Had Charles C Rose in 1905. Mack changed his name in 1916 to McKenzie Rose. Charles C married Marion Blomgreen in 1926 and had Charles H. in 1928. I am Charles H. DNA shows me as Y-J1 and X-K1a*. Anna's parents were Lutheran from Gehren and Eisfeld, Germany. Marion was straight Swedish.
