About us
Dec 2008:
So far the only ROBARDS line that has been tested is that of John ROBARDS, d.c1755 in Goochland Co., VA. It's possible there was another ROBARDS line in the south, with a different origin. There also were some ROBARDS in early NY, and in Kent, England in the 1800s at least. It would be nice to get some of these other lines tested.
The SNP results currently for Kit 52870 are now:
L2+ L20- L21- U152+
Due to changes in the haplogroup tree, L2+ L20- L21- U152+ is now called R1b1a2a1a1b3c.
April 2011: There is an SNP downstream of L2 that still needs to be tested within the R1b1a2a1a1b3c group, L196.
For those who have Family Finder results, here is an explanation on how recombining works with the X chromosome.
