R-DF21 and Subclades - Goals

R-DF21 project goals include:

  • expand the DF21 and subclades phylogeny by the discovery and placement of new SNPs
  • assist members in identifying which additional tests may be appropriate for them
  • assist members in placing their results in the appropriate subclade/variety
  • share geographic and genealogical information to help determine possible point of origin for the various subclades/varieties
