Our Pilotti/Enriu Family DNA project officially begun in April of 2010 when, for the first time, women could join family projects as contributors of DNA. Prior to that time surname testing was restriced to the Y-chromosome. With the introduction of the Family Finder test which tests DNA contributed by all ancestors, there is now a way of testing whether any two people share a close common ancestor.
