Project Background
The objective of the ODEN yDNA Project is to establish the genetic pedigrees of people with the ODEN surname, in the United States and worldwide. In 1790, there were ODENS living in Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia. As the frontier moved west, descendants of these families moved into Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Missouri, Ohio, Tennessee and Texas. It is the intention of the ODEN yDNA Project to identify the genetic pedigrees for these families and develop conventional pedigrees for use by future descendants
