The NETTLES Group Administrator has been researching the NETTLES family for more than Twenty years in the USA and some research worldwide. From this research, it appears that majority of the NETTLES / NETTLE / NADELL / NADEL / NADELLS / NETTEL / NETTELS / NEEDELS / NEEDLES in the USA are related (not including several surnames of German origin which have been Angilised).  Interested NETTLES (or variants) from all over the world are invited and encouraged to join the project.

The focus of this project is Y-DNA, this project is open to all males having one of the above surnames (or other derivative). In addition with the increased use of DNA testing the project is also open to non Y-DNA testers, upon approval.  Some results will be shared by members and to a more limited degree with selected others.
