Project Goals
The goal of this project is to establish Macpherson family groups by testing 37 or 67 markers. Test participants are also encouraged to order the Deep Clade Haplogroup test.
The design of this DNA project excludes the associated families of Clan Macpherson as most of them have their own DNA projects. Additionally, DNA testing has not shown a very close connection between the Macphersons tested and individuals tested for those associated surnames.
