The McGovern DNA study started in July 2004 as an off-shoot of the Breifni Clan study. It was determined we should separate from the Breifni Study to allow the McGovern testers to concentrate on DNA relationships apparent within their surname. We now have 25 McGoverns in the McGovern study.
