I began this project in September, 2008, at this time I have been involved with another dna project for about 2 years now. I had checked our surname in the beginning and several times since becoming interested in DNA, to see if there was a Linsteadt project. I really didn't want to be the one to start it, since I am still trying to learn what we can determine from these tests that we encourage others to take. But, FamilyTreeDNA employees are the best, they are quick to respond to any question I have had and as stupid as I have felt in asking, they have yet to make me feel they thought so, always quick with a response and helpful. So I have confidence as we proceed in unlocking the orgins of our family history together that, what we don't know about dna that FTDNA will help us with to understand. The tools are here we just need to use them.
