About us
The JOWERS DNA Project is open to any male descendant with the JOWERS surname or various spellings of that surname. Our primary objective is to try and identify if this rare surname is from the same family in America and overseas.
Would we match Jowers from Wales? Are we all related? .
If you are a proven male descendant of Rev. Benjamin Jowers (1806 SC-died 1890 Elmore Co, AL) a sponsor has volunteered to pay for one male 37 Y-DNA test kit from this line to DNA test in our project. Please contact the group administrator for more information.
We encourage JOWERS males from various family lines in America to DNA test in our project.
Families who are researching the JOWERS surname will need a male JOWERS to participate in Y-Chromosome testing.
There Family Finder test is available from FTDNA for both male and female to test. All Jowers descendants can participate in DNA project with the new Family Finder autosomal test.
Email the administrator if you have a question about the Jowers project.
Thanks,
